Adriana Ana Miclescu
Associate Professor in Anesthesia and Intensive Care at Uppsala University; Senior consultant in Anesthesia, Intensive Care and in Pain Therapy, Director of Pain Studies at the Multidisciplinary Pain Clinic, Uppsala University Hospital, Sweden. Adriana Miclescu is Diplomate of European Academy of Anaesthesiology (DEAA 2004), Diplomate of Scandinavian Advance Pain Therapy (2009) and specialist in Pain Therapy (2009).
Adriana Miclescu received MD in 1983 at Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy Cluj-Napoca, Romania and became specialist in Anesthesia and Intensive Care in 1991. She worked as assistant professor at the Dept. of Anesthesia University of Medicine Cluj. She received PhD in Anesthesia (1997) at Cluj University, Romania, and PhD in Anesthesia and Intensive Care (2009) at Uppsala University, Sweden.
Adriana Miclescu is member of SFAI (1998), IASP (2006) and received a Grant for research (Gulstrands position) at Uppsala University.
Her research started with opioids in obstetric regional analgesia, then continued with nitric oxide and cerebral protection during and after cardiac arrest. Now interested in pain with research related with neuropathic pain after surgery, conditioned pain modulation, QST, biomarkers and genetics.
