Amélie Grandjean, a first-year PhD student in the School of Psychology at the University of Birmingham, is a dedicated researcher passionate about improving outcomes for individuals living with chronic pain. Amélie’s work involves utilising EEG to investigate the predictive potential of the alpha rhythm in identifying patients susceptible to persistent post-operative pain. Her current research also explores the application of non-invasive auditory stimuli to modulate the Peak Alpha Frequency, potentially offering analgesic effects.
