The study aimed to evaluate the level of knowledge and previous clinical experience of implant dentists and oral and maxillofacial surgeons regarding  post traumatic trigeminal neuropathic pain (PTTNP) through an online questionnaire. 164 responses were collected from dentists (age 42, SD 5 years; 58% male) and 62% of the dentistshave already assisted a patient with persistent pain after dental implant installation. The major symptoms reported by patients and therapies used were described. When divided the sample by age, the younger group reported having insufficient knowledge about PTTNP.
