Joletta is a writer, patient partner, and advocate for the equitable integration of lived expertise into the study, research, and treatment of pain.  She became a pain advocate after her own experiences with ongoing pain that didn't resolve as expected and struggling to find the right resources, treatment, and care.  She makes sense of pain through science and stories on her blog at MyCuppaJo.substack.com. She is the first Patient & Public Partnerships Editor at the Journal of Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy and was founding co-chair of IASP's Global Alliance of Partners for Pain Advocacy.
