Dr Maurer is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher in the Andersson lab at King’s College London, UK where she is studying the mechanisms underlying sensory abnormalities in chronic pain conditions. She received her PhD in Biology in 2021 from the University of Heidelberg studying the interaction between the trigeminal and olfactory systems. Her current project investigates the autoimmune contribution to mechanical and thermal hypersensitivity in Fibromyalgia.
